Local doctor trains with Tour de France doctor
Dr. John Thomas Giudice, DC was in the car on the way back from a seminar with “Dr. Magic,” as Lance Armstrong calls him, and he had one of those moments: He said to himself, “If this technology can help professional athletes perform better, heal from injuries quicker, reduce swelling and pain, then just imagine how much it will help my community.”

Dr. Giudice has been using low-level laser (cold laser) for some time now. It works so well and so much faster than more traditional care. He has seen some amazing results with it and think its crazy for athletes (or anybody) not to have the benefits that cold laser provides. Imagine being able to perform better, heal quicker and having more confidence in your body working as close to 100 percent as possible.

Dr. Giudice understand the pressure of athletics, and has come up with a program that suits the needs of the individual. There is no cookie cutter approach or corners cut here. Just the most advanced and individualized wellness chiropractic care for you and your family. Call his assistant Alexis today for an appointment to see if this care could benefit you. His office is called Health & Vitality 4 Life and they are located in the New Rochelle Racquet club.

Their phone number is 632-0844; call today for an appointment.

Learn about adult fitness opportunities at YWCA’s open house

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, the YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester invites the community to explore a wide variety of programs including fitness and aquatics activities tailored to the needs of adults and seniors. From 10-4, the YWCA will host an open house, with tours, program demos and more.

As we get older, staying active is critical for a healthy body and mind, but for many adults, going to a large chain gym is intimidating, not to mention expensive. Smaller gyms such as the fitness center at the YWCA, offer exercise opportunities that are more comfortable and affordable, where visitors can pursue personal fitness goals in a welcoming environment.

It is especially important for older adults to keep fit, while being careful not over exert themselves. The YWCA is just the answer, where less rigorous activities for seniors are offered including yoga, aqua-aerobics, and swimming.

The YWCA provides an intimate and family-oriented atmosphere where people of all ages can feel comfortable working out and trying new activities. Friendly and supportive staff are always available for questions. Supportive and qualified instructors offer personal training, exercise classes, dance lessons and aquatics programs that are fun, effective and affordable.

For more information, visit www.ywcawhiteplains.com and drop by the activity center at 515 North Street (across from White Plains High School) on Sept. 9 for the open house.

Control your own destiny
Companies are challenged and hard working individuals are losing their jobs every day.  For most of us there is only one way to go: forward – and you want to make sure you control your own destiny.

In a less advantageous economic climate you can still thrive! Business is out there! Know yourself and capitalize on your strengths. Believe in your abilities. It takes determination, positive energy and drive to pursue your dreams.

After 14 years in various Senior Executive/Personal Assistant roles for a number of successful individuals, Charlotte Diener entered the world as an independent consultant. Diener became “Your Own Assistant” ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ), providing administrative and organizational support to individuals and businesses at all levels. The client is getting the skill set and knowledge of a six figure salary assistant, while getting charged on an hourly basis, dictating the hours. There is no time obligation.

Requests vary from the traditional administrative tasks, to executive support, to bringing structure to the office and home in general. Someone needs temporary assistance throughout a renovation project. Another may need ongoing administrative help; calendar management, travel arrangements, drafting speech, book keeping, follow up phone calls, research etc. In some cases it is clear after our first meeting that what they really need is a Virtual Assistant.
